Mrs. Emily McMurry
Hello! My name is Emily McMurry, and I’m so excited to serve as our school librarian. I began my teaching journey in 2009 and have had the joy of teaching Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade before stepping into the wonderful world of the library.
I grew up in Madison, Alabama, where I graduated from Madison Academy in 2003, and since 2017 my family and I have loved calling Hartselle home. My husband, Brandon, and I were married in 2010, and we are blessed with two amazing kids—Sawyer and Braylon—as well as our playful Goldendoodle, Winnie, who always keeps us on our toes!
When I’m not surrounded by books, you’ll often find me with a cup of coffee in hand, planning our next adventure, or diving into a great story. I also enjoy coaching youth volleyball and cheerleading, where I get to cheer on kids both on and off the court.
As the school librarian, I’m passionate about helping students discover the joy of reading and encouraging them to explore the endless worlds waiting for them in books.
